SE-ed

On the 1st of August 2009, Immanuel Beauty School (IBS) was invited to take part in the Social Enterprise E-Development (SE-ed) Project. The project was launched with a bizarre at Singapore Management University’s (SMU) Campus Green. IBS was approached to set-up shop there as well as to eventually be part of their online blog-shopping initiative for Social Enterprises.

At this event, IBS took out a batch of students from our Beauty Therapist Program (BTP) and provided services such as express manicure, henna artwork, express makeovers to the bizarre visitors. It was an excursion trip for the girls and a fun one at that. The bizarre also provided awareness for the school and its cause. The girls were also given the opportunity to meet Mr Zainudin Bin Nordin, Mayor of Central Singapore District, Member of Parliament for the Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC
